Michael James Johnson
Born in 1989, Michael James Johnson lives in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Johnson attended the School of Visual Arts, learning Film Production before transferring to Rutgers and studying Literature and Philosophy, earning a BA in 2011. After graduating, Johnson discovered the studio practice of the painter. In 2015 he was awarded a solo show in the the Emerging Artist Series at Monmouth Museum. In 2016 he began showing at Parlor Gallery. He makes video-art under the pseudonym, Morvan Kelm. In 2019 he moved into a Chashama art studio in Matawan, where he worked for 3 years. He is currently attending classes with the Grand Central Atelier.
